Spring comes to Vancouver and so do we

Ruth, my sister in-law, invited us up to BC to help celebrate Andrew's birthday and we knew it was a good idea.
The weather was great and we got that taste of Spring that everyone wishes for this time of year.
So, here's a little bit of family and a little bit of nature...come to think about it they both have very similar qualities...beatiful, inviting and precious.
Enjoy!

100 Miles to Hell....'s Canyon

Enough of all that craft stuff, we're finally getting out of the house and off on another travel writing extravaganza!
This time we were sent to Hell's Canyon, a remote portion of the Snake river that runs south of Clarkston WA.

We took a jet boat from the top of the map following the blue line that goes east 100 miles down the snake River.
The western banks are in Oregon and the Eastern bank are Idaho. We left Clarkston at 8am and returned home around 5pm.
Here are the pics...enjoy

Looking South from just outside Clarkston, the Snake river is in the distance.

This fishing cabin should give you an idea of scale. I'd say that this cabin is twice as big as our house.
