I missed the best of the wisteria blooms while I was in NYC and I wish that the spring rain would last all summer, oh how I love rain. But things are heating up as they do in Spokane and the plants are getting very large.

And here's my Yoga doll

The only doll doing yoga these days.

New Pants

There's nothing better than new pants

new pants

I purchased these lovelies at Anthropologie in NYC.
I know I could have just purchased them online but since we don't have one here in Spokane it was fun to shop at the actual store. Richard says they're 'Funky', I'm sure he means in a good way.

What's the best thing about visiting NYC?

Going to Purl!
at Purl

me and Purl

I don't really know how all this blogging came about, I think it was my sister's fault so, while she's over there snuggling with Sanjaya I'm over here developing serious crushes on fabric stores and the amazing crafters that connect me to my growing passion for all things stitched, sewn or threaded in any way. Seriously, I was starstruck by a fabric store, can you say big dork?

As we made our way to Soho my heart started to pound, my palms got sweaty, I even got tragically tangled up in my seat belt (imagine a straight jacket, I think I needed one) and when we got there my brain shut down. I couldn't think about what I wanted or even remember how to speak like a normal person. It all happened so fast all I could do was point and say "that one" and "I love your blog". I bought one yard of fabulous fabric @ $28.00 per yard and I have no idea who the designer is or why the cost was so high, but I have it! Thank god I have these photos to remind me that I was actually there! Thank you to Laura for untangling me from the seat belt...sadly that is a true event

Gray is the New Brown

That's what Sarah Jessica Parker says anyway....

The saturday three

I made these yesterday for the shop.
I bought some fabric from NYC but not much.
I'll be spending my day trying to figure out the best way to use it.

The Big Apple - One Giant Phone Booth

Ok, it's more than that, way more and I have the photos to prove it!

NYC II

New York City has left me in a complete state of exhaustion. It's so wonderful to be home and yet I'm sad to have left without seeing more. Laura and I went on some Gluten Free adventures, found art and dogs and people and noise and hard cider.

We ate decadent frosted Gluten Free cupcakes at babycakes and then the most wonderful Mexican food in China Town.

We fondled exotic yarn at purl, ate Soppressata and gazed at Warhols in MOMA

We gobbled up thick crusty Gluten Free pizza in SOHO at Risotteria

We saw the Cheerleader, Al Roker and Rupert Jee

We climbed to the top of the Empire State Building, sailed around the Statue of Liberty, strolled through history at The Met and meadered through lush green trees in Central Park.
