6.5.11 - quilting typography
I ran across this quilt from Tula Pink (go look and then come back here), isn't it amazing? The photo is from a wonderful quilt and sewing blog/site/shop called Suppose - quilt boutique. The machine quilting is done by Angela Waters.
I have no ability to measure and plan as true quilters can but I was still inspired to try something like it. And, quite luckily, I recently got my little hands on some of Anna Maria Horner's new and fabulous fabric line Loulouthi (visit her shop for all kinds of goodness) the result is below. I hope to mesh these pieces into a larger project that I'll show you later, it's nothing I'm going to sell or would ever claim as my own design (you can buy Tula Pink patterns here but I haven't been able to find this pattern for sale yet). I was just so inpsired by it and "love" is just the right word.
